Iain Duncan
Iain is joining Ohio Prospects for his first year with the organization. Iain brings many years of both coaching and playing experience at all levels of hockey. Iain, born in Toronto, has coached at all levels of hockey from professional down to various ages of youth hockey.
Iain has 25+ years of coaching experience. Head Coaching stops in minor pro with the Nashville Nighthawks, Nashville Ice Flyers and Mentor Ice Breakers. Iain was head coach of the Toledo Cherokee (Jr) for 8 years. Coach Duncan also has experience with multiple AAA organizations and been involved with USA Hockey for 20 years too.
Iain’s playing career was cut short due to a career ending injury in 1988. In 1983 Iain was drafted as a member of the Winnipeg Jets. Iain was named to the NHL all-rookie team after the 1988 season that saw him score 19 goals. Iain captained the Toledo Storm to two Riley Cup championships in the 92 and 93 seasons. He was a four-year letterman at Bowling Green State University and was a member of the 1984 NCAA national championship team.
